ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s basketball coach Ron Hunter formally announced Monday that Sharman White will be joining his staff as an assistant coach. White, a highly-successful high school coach at nearby Miller Grove in Lithonia, will join the staff immediately.
While at Miller Grove, White led the program to state championship titles in seven of the last eight years. In a decade at Miller Grove, he compiled a 264-47 record, while also winning a gold medal with USA Basketball (U16). He was also named the 2014 American Family Insurance All-USA Boys’ Basketball Coach of the Year and National High School Association Coach of the Year in 2016.
