MOBILE, ALA. -- Colin Hynek and Max Ryerson homered and Ryan Watson earned his 17th career victory as Georgia State won 15-5 in Friday's series opener at South Alabama.
The Panthers defeated South Alabama (19-19, 7-9 Sun Belt) for the fourth straight time and won in Mobile for the first time.
Watson (4-1) pitched six innings and allowed just one run on three hits with five strikeouts. He is now in sole possession of fourth place in GSU history in career victories.
Ryerson reached base in all six plate appearances with his 11th homer of the season, an RBI-single, three walks and a hit by pitch.
