WEST POINT, N.Y. -- Tucker Gregg and Jamyest Williams each rushed for over 100 yards, and the Georgia State defense came up with a huge goal-line stand in the fourth quarter to lead the Panthers to a 31-14 victory at Army Saturday afternoon at Michie Stadium.
With the Panthers holding a 17-14 lead in the fourth quarter, Georgia State (1-4) stopped Army (1-3) on fourth down inside the 1-yard line to preserve the lead with nine minutes to play and then stopped Army one more time on fourth down with three minutes left. The GSU offense took over at midfield, needing one first down to seal the win, and on 3rd-and-5 at the GSU 43, quarterback Darren Grainger connected with Ja'Cyais Credle down the right sideline for a 57-yard touchdown and a 24-14 lead with 2:59 left.
