ATLANTA – Five freshmen made their Georgia State women's basketball debuts Tuesday night in GSU's season-opener at the GSU Sports Arena, but Toledo left Atlanta with a 74-48 victory.
True freshman Taylor Henderson led GSU in scoring with 13 points and redshirt junior Jada Lewis and freshman Kamryn Dziak each added 12 points. Shaq Miller-McCray's seven rebounds was most on the team.
"One thing we talked about is we can't let our offense dictate our defensive effort and we gave up too many easy points in the third period there," head coach Gene Hill said.
