ATLANTA – Redshirt-sophomore Justin Roberts has been named GSU Student-Athlete of the Week after leading the Panthers to a perfect 2-0 start conference play while averaging 16.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game.
Roberts opened the week filling up the box score with 15 points, six rebounds, six assists, and a career-high tying five steals as the Panthers topped UT Arlington in a rematch of last year's Sun Belt Conference Championship Game 83-77. Roberts went a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line.
On Saturday, Roberts sparked a late 18-4 run in Georgia State's 81-69 victory over Texas State.
