ATLANTA - Georgia State women’s soccer senior forward Caitlin Ray was named this week's GSU Student-Athlete of the Week Monday after she scored two goals in GSU’s 2-1 Senior Night victory over ULM on Friday, giving the Panthers back-to-back victories.
The Loganville, Ga., native netted the first goal in the 23rd minute and scored the game-winner in the 78th minute. Ray’s two goals in Friday’s win are tied for the most in a single match among all Sun Belt players this year.
Not only did she score two goals and lead GSU to a win on her own Senior Night, but Ray also set a new career-high in shots on goal in a single match with four against the Warhawks.
