NEW ORLEANS – Former Georgia State cross country and track standout Nuria Ramirez was named a recipient of the Sun Belt Conference Postgraduate Scholarship at the league's annual honors celebration event Monday night in New Orleans.
Georgia State was honored with the Overall Student-Athlete Graduation Rate Award for the third time in four years.
“This recognition shows the commitment of our coaches and student-athletes to our strategic goals,” GSU Director of Athletics Charlie Cobb said. “I’m also extremely proud of Nuria for earning the postgraduate scholarship. She epitomizes what it means to be a great student-athlete and represents everything we are about at Georgia State.
