ATLANTA -- Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott had mixed emotions after the Panthers' first scrimmage of the preseason, held Saturday morning at Georgia State Stadium.
The Panthers ran more than 100 plays in the scrimmage while working three teams as they continue preparations for their season opener vs. Kennesaw State. Georgia State hosts the Owls on Thursday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at Georgia State Stadium in a game that will air on ESPN+.
Elliott was positive about the performance of the GSU offense but less than pleased with the defense.
"Offensively, we moved the ball well," he said.
