ATLANTA -- As Georgia State continues its preparations for Saturday's Sun Belt Conference opener at Appalachian State, head coach Trent Miles took a moment after Tuesday's practice to congratulate a Panther football alum.
"How about that - a 57-yard field goal," Miles gushed about Georgia State's former all-conference standout Wil Lutz, now the placekicker for the New Orleans Saints. Lutz booted a 57-yard field goal last night against the hometown Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football.
"We're always pulling for the Falcons - they're family - but we're so happy for Wil being able to make that kick last night.
