Panthers Tripped Up in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, La. - Jada Lewis scored 20 points to lead Georgia State, but the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns came away with the 57-54 win Thursday night at the Cajnudome in Lafayette, La.

Louisiana started the game on a 12-0 run, but Jada Lewis got the Panthers going with seven straight points of her own. Shots weren't falling for GSU in the first period, so the Panthers looked to the defensive end to find point. Lewis' first seven points all came off Louisiana turnovers.

Lewis caught fire from long range in the second quarter, sinking three 3-pointers in rapid succession.
