Panthers Suffer First Loss of the Season in Series Finale Against UT Martin

ATLANTA, Ga. - Georgia State Baseball entered Sunday's matinee in search of their second sweep in as many series and their first 6-0 start since 2011. The visitors from UT Martin, however, had other plans in mind and followed through, handing the Panthers their first loss of the season behind an eight-run fifth inning.

The Skyhawks jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first three innings, but the Panthers were able to quickly pull back within one, plating Connor Griffith and on a pair of sacrifice flies in the fourth.

The fifth inning spelled trouble for the hosts.
