ATLANTA— Opening home competition for the spring 2023 season, Georgia State men's tennis notched a win over Furman, 4-3, at the GSU Clarkston Courts on Sunday. With the win, first-year head coach James Wilson charts his first spring dual match victory since recently entering his coaching tenure at GSU and the Panthers improve to 1-3 on the year.
GSU entered the weekend slated for two matches in Atlanta beginning with crosstown opponent Georgia Tech on Friday. The Panthers saw victory at the second doubles court to begin the match as fifth-year graduate Diego Padilha partnered with freshman Diogo Morais for a one-sided 6-1 victory.
