KENNESAW, Ga. --The Georgia State Panthers rallied from a 5-2 deficit in the fifth inning to knock off the Kennesaw State Owls 8-7 Tuesday evening.
Senior Emily Hodnett (3-7) got the win out of the bullpen for Georgia State (11-33). The right-hander went four innings, giving up one run on three hits, allowing two walks and striking out one.
Freshman Sydney Garrett recorded her first save of the season after coming in to clean up the game in the bottom of the sixth.
In the batter's box, the Panthers were led by junior Maia Mumpfield, who went 2-for-4 on the day with a double, a walk and four RBI.
