ATLANTA-Georgia State held South Alabama with a field goal for nearly nine minutes of the second half and overcame a nine-point second half deficit to top the Jaguars 76-73 on Thursday night at the GSU Sports Arena.
Redshirt-junior Corey Allen led Georgia State (15-7, 8-3 Sun Belt) with 19 points and four rebounds going a perfect 8-of-8 at the free throw line while junior Kane Williams finished with 15 points and five assists including a key jumper to give the Panthers the lead with 30.7 seconds to play.
Georgia State won for the 15th-straight time at home, tied for the third-longest home court winning streak in school history.
