ATLANTA - Georgia State rallied with a four-run sixth inning to tie the game against Georgia Tech Wednesday, but the Yellow Jackets used a grand slam in the top of the seventh to win 12-6.
The Panthers trailed the Yellow Jackets 5-1 entering the bottom of the sixth. After two quick outs, GSU mounted a four-run rally, highlighted by a two-run double off the bat of freshman Jess Neadow. Following a bases-loaded walk issued to Caitlin Ray, a wild pitch allowed Neadow to score and even the game at 5-5.
Georgia Tech responded with seven runs on two hits in the top of the seventh.
