KENNESAW, Ga. - Georgia State's women's basketball team made a late push Thursday night, but was defeated by Kennesaw State 71-61 at the KSU Convocation Center.
The Panthers battled from down 15 in the third quarter to within six points in the final period, but struggled to get the big stop on defense when they needed it. Kennesaw State took the lead midway through the first quarter and didn't turn back, using 49% shooting from the field to best GSU.
Kierra Henry did a little bit of everything Thursday night, scoring 16 points, tallying a team-high seven assists and grabbing five rebounds.
