Panthers Place Second at Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Georgia State's indoor track and field team finished in sixth place at the 2017 Sun Belt Indoor Championships.

With the sixth place finish, Georgia State earned seven Bubas Cup points. The Bubas Cup is awarded to the school in the Sun Belt that has the top performances across all sports at the end of the year. The Panthers finished better than Georgia Southern by 23 points to earn rivalry series point and give GSU the 7-3 advantage over the Eagles.

In the first event of the day, LaPorscha Wells defended her SBC title in the weight throw sealing her individual victory with a toss of 20.
