Full GallerySTATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia State trailed in-state rival Georgia Southern by 14 points with under 13 minutes to play but came together for a remarkable comeback and topped the Eagles 82-77 at Hanner Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
Georgia State (14-7, 7-3 Sun Belt) broke a second-place tie with Georgia Southern (12-9, 6-4 Sun Belt) as the league reached the midpoint of conference play. The Panthers won for the second-straight year in Statesboro after going winless for 23 years and have now won six of seven over the Eagles.
