ATLANTA – Georgia State’s women’s basketball team made eight 3-pointers but fell 75-60 to Louisiana Thursday evening at the GSU Sports Arena.
Madison Newby’s 18 points paced the Panthers on offense and the point guard added three assists and six rebounds. Kierra Henry and Janessa Murphy also scored double digits with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Francesca Minali led Georgia State in rebounding with eight boards. The Ragin’ Cajuns held a slight rebounding advantage Thursday with 33 compared to GSU’s 27.
The Panthers shot the ball well, finishing the game at 45.
