ATLANTA -- Bryan White and Alex Hegner combined for a four-hit shutout as Georgia State earned an 18-0 win over Coppin State in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader. Game 2 will begin at approximately 4:25 p.m.
Jarrett Hood drove in four runs for the Panthers (3-2), and Ryan Blanton and Darius Sewell homered.
White (1-0) allowed just four hits and struck out seven in 5.2 innings. Hegner was perfect in recording the final 10 outs, including four strikeouts, for his first save. Neither issued a walk.
