ATLANTA-Georgia State scored the final eight points of the game to top Coastal Carolina 71-68 on Saturday afternoon at the GSU Sports Arena.

Georgia State (8-2, 2-1 Sun Belt) trailed Coastal Carolina (9-3, 3-2 Sun Belt) 68-63 with 2:50 to play in the contest before holding the Chanticleers scoreless the rest of the game.

The Panthers returned to the court after missing three games due to COVID-19 protocols and practicing just once before Saturday's game. Georgia State played without the services of starting guard Kane Williams.

Senior Corey Allen led the Panthers with 15 points, while redshirt-junior Justin Roberts and freshman Collin Moore each scored 14 points.
