Panthers Host Annual Professional Scout Day

ATLANTA -- More than 25 Major League Baseball scouts were on hand for Georgia State's annual Pro Scout Day, held Wednesday at the GSU Baseball Complex.

"We had a really great turnout from the scouts and a lot of great baseball played today," 12th-year head coach Greg Frady said. "We played a clean game, for the most part, and our players handled the day very well and showcased themselves."

Although the pitching had the upper hand, for the most part, in a 3-2 game, one of the highlights was a first-inning home run by senior shortstop Justin Jones, the Panthers' elder statesman as a four-year starter and two-time CoSIDA Academic American.
