HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Georgia State excelled at the two-day Chipotle Marshall Invitational with two first-place finishes, four seconds and two thirds. In addition, the Panthers added a fourth-place, three fifth-places and three sixth-places in the nine-team meet.
GSU’s two first-place showings were by juniors Tracy Dorcemont in the weight throw (18.07m, 59-03.50) and LaPorscha Wells in the shot put (15.89m, 52-01.75). That shot was a Marshall Facility record and a Marshall Invitational record.
The Panthers’ four second-place finishes were by Ravin Gilbert, Alysiah Whittaker, Sydney Davis and the 4x400m relay team.
