TROY, ALA. – Despite Robert Davis’ second-straight 100-yard day, Georgia State fell at Troy on Saturday afternoon 31-21 at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Davis finished with five catches for 117 yards and a touchdown before an injury on his touchdown catch in the third quarter. It marked his eighth career 100-yard game and his 65-yard touchdown catch from Conner Manning was the ninth catch of 50 yards or more in his career.
Manning finished the day 28-for-52 for 381 yards and three touchdowns.
Troy improved to 5-1 (3-0) in the Sun Belt for the Trojans best start to a season since 1999.
