Panthers Fall to Top-Ranked Bruins

HONOLULU, Hawaii - Georgia State's softball team wrapped up the opening weekend of the 2019 season Saturday at the Hawaii Paradise Classic, facing off against UT Arlington and top-ranked UCLA.

Georgia State dropped both games 9-1 in six innings to fall to 0-5 on the season.

UTA jumped on top early thanks to a pair of defensive miscues by the Panthers in the bottom of the first. The Mavericks led 4-0 on three hits and two errors.

Alyssa Brumelow got GSU on the board in the top of the third with an RBI-single that scored Baylee Sexton from second, but that would be it for the Panthers.
