ATLANTA -- Georgia State fell to Coastal Carolina 41-24 Thursday night at Center Parc Stadium.
Darren Grainger passed for 231 yards, and outside linebacker Jontrey Hunter had a school-record 77-yard interception return for a touchdown, but the Panthers' (0-4) potent running game was limited to 78 yards.
Coastal Carolina (4-0) got off to a hot start with a pair of quick touchdowns to take a 14-0 lead just three minutes into the game before Georgia State got on the board with an 87-yard touchdown drive. Tucker Gregg scored on a 4-yard run for his 19th career rushing touchdown to tie the GSU record set by Tra Barnett (2016-19).
