ARLINGTON, Texas-UT Arlington overcame a 16-point first half deficit to top Georgia State 70-62 on Thursday night at the College Park Center.
Georgia State (18-10, 11-6 Sun Belt) saw its three-game winning streak snapped despite 21 points, seven rebounds, and five assists from junior Kane Williams.
UT Arlington (13-15, 9-8 Sun Belt) snapped a five-game losing streak to the Panthers as four Mavericks finished in double figures led by Brian Griffin who scored 13 points.
Georgia State, which had gone 81-of-93 from the free throw line in the last four games managed to go just 8-of-17 from the line while shooting just 35.
