MONTGOMERY, ALA. --- In its second game of pool play at the Sun Belt Championships, Georgia State fell 10-1 to Georgia Southern Wednesday at Riverwalk Stadium.
GSU's season comes to an end, but the strides made by this very young team in head coach Brad Stromdahl's first full season are undeniable. After playing perhaps the toughest non-conference schedule in the nation, the Panthers (18-37) posted a .500 record in Sun Belt play and won six of their last seven games, including Tuesday's Sun Belt tournament win over ULM. All this while playing numerous freshmen and sophomores.
