Panthers Fall in Game 2

LAFAYETTE, La. – Georgia State lost 12-3 in five innings at No. 10 Louisiana Friday night in Game 2 of the series.

The Ragin’ Cajuns took advantage of several miscues by the Panthers as wet conditions proved troublesome for both sides with six total errors being committed.

Louisiana scored eight unearned runs while all three of GSU’s runs went in the book as unearned.

Mandy Chance got the start in the circle for GSU and held LA to two earned over 3.0 innings.

Friday’s game was delayed for 29 minutes in the bottom of the second after a pop-up shower halted the game and forced the tarp to be placed on the field.
