ATLANTA -- Georgia State dropped a doubleheader to East Tennesee State, 8-2 and 5-1, Saturday at the GSU Baseball Complex to win the series after the Panthers won Friday's opener, 6-5 in 13 innings.
In Saturday's first game, ETSU (11-4) jumped in front with three runs in the the third inning, added arun in thefourth and then pulled away with two runs in the seventh en route to the 8-2 victory.
Buccaneer starter Landon Knack (3-0) displayed pinpoint control as allowed just two runs on eight hits over seven innings and struck seven with no walks.
Jake Corso had three hits for the Panthers (4-10), including a two-run single in thethird inning, and Brandon Bell added two hits.
