AUBURN, ALA. -- Georgia State took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning at No. 26 Auburn, but the Tigers managed two runs with two outs to win 3-2 Tuesday at Plainsman Park.
The loss overshadowed an oustanding effort by Georgia State (2-2) starter Bryan White, who allowed just three hits in 5.2 scoreless innings with a career-high seven strikeouts.
White allowed three straight singles in the first inning as Auburn (4-0) loaded the bases with one out, but the senior right-hander struck out the next two batters to work out of the jam.
