TROY, Ala. – Despite 331 yards of total offense from Dan Ellington, Georgia State fell to Troy 37-20 on Thursday night at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Ellington went 20-of-36 on 272 yards passing and ran 19 times for 59 yards, but Troy finished with 554 yards of total offense including 337 yards on the ground.
Georgia State (2-4, 1-1 Sun Belt) was led through the air by junior Penny Hart who caught six catches for 128 yards. It marked the 10th time in his career going over 100 yards in a game.
Troy (5-1, 3-0 Sun Belt) took a 23-0 lead early in the second quarter after scoring touchdowns on their first two drive of the game.
