Panthers Fall 5-1 to Ranked Bulldogs

ATHENS, Ga. – Georgia State fell 5-1 Wednesday evening to No. 15/21 Georgia at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens.

The Panthers and Bulldogs were locked in a 1-0 battle until UGA pushed four runs across in the bottom of the fourth to take a 5-0 lead.

Georgia State created scoring chances in each of the first three innings but wouldn’t get in the score column until the top of the fifth when sophomore Skylar Mosel launched a solo home run to center field, her ninth career long ball.

Mandy Chance got the start in the circle for the Panthers and was effective over the first three innings before UGA got things going in the fourth.
