ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis dropped their home opener to Winthrop 4-3 on Saturday morning. GSU won three of the five singles matches that were played, but suffered a walkover loss on court three.
The Panthers fell behind early by dropping the doubles point. Due to lineup restrictions GSU was forced to forfeit the doubles point on court three. Wintrhop clinched the doubles portion when Kristin Rehse and Daniela Ramirez fell to a pair of Eagles.
