GREENVILLE, S.C. -- In a game that featured eight home runs including three grand slams, Furman rallied from a 10-0 deficit to defeat Georgia State 13-12 on a grand slam in the eighth inning.
Georgia State's Nick Gatewood hit two home runs and drove in four runs, Brandon Bell delivered a grand slam and Ryan Glass also homered, but Furman (14-15) rallied with two grand slams, including the go-ahead shot by Jabari Richards with two outs in the bottom of the eighth.
Georgia State (13-15) jumped to a 10-0 lead with five runs in the first, one in the second and four in the third.
