Panthers Drop Midweek Contest to Top-Five Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Georgia State was defeated 5-1 at No. 5 Alabama Wednesday night at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa.

Kristin Hawkins and Remington Hasty accounted for GSU’s two hits in the contest as Hawkins continued her hot streak at the plate.

The Crimson Tide started things off with three runs on three hits in the bottom of the first. Alabama then added a run in the bottom of the second to lead 4-0 after two innings.

Mandy Chance came on to pitch for GSU and settled in nicely, allowing one earned over 3.
