MACON, Ga. - Georgia State totaled seven hits Wednesday at Mercer, but fell 6-0 to the Bears.
Reagan Morgan and Kristin Hawkins gathered two hits each, but GSU struggled to get timely base knocks, stranding nine runners on base.
The Bears scored a run in the first and then struck for five runs in the second. Mandy Chance came on in relief for GSU and allowed just two earned over 5.0 innings in the circle.
Next up for the Panthers is a home Sun Belt Conference series against Appalachian State.
