ARLINGTON, Texas – Georgia State’s softball team lost the three-game series to UT Arlington as the Mavericks pulled out wins in Games 2 and 3 Sunday in Texas.
After being suspended in the fifth inning due to weather Saturday, Game 2 was resumed Sunday morning with UT Arlington holding a 3-0 lead with two outs in the top of the fifth.
Ivie Drake launched her fifth home run of the season in the sixth inning to make it a 3-1 game, but the Panthers were held scoreless in the seventh as UTA would hold on to win.
