BOCA RATON, Fla. – Georgia State’s women’s basketball team totaled 61 rebounds in a 75-59 victory at Florida Atlantic Saturday afternoon at the FAU Arena. Led by Jada Lewis’ 20 points, the Panthers improved to 2-0 in head coach Gene Hill’s first season.
Georgia State outrebounded the Owls 61-39 and doubled up FAU with 24 offensive rebounds to FAU’s 12. GSU 54 points in the paint and tallied 16 second-chance points.
“We always talk about how important it is to win the rebound battle. We want to get out and run on offense and in order to run, you have to rebound, “Hill said.
