Panthers Come Up Short in Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. - Georgia State had three chances to tie the game in the final minute but couldn't get the tying shot to fall as South Alabama held on to win 62-59 Saturday at the Mitchell Center.

The Panthers led for most of the game Saturday, but the Jaguars caught fire in the third quarter and used a 9-0 run to come back from a nine point deficit at halftime. after South Alabama went up by five with 2:07 to go in the game, Georgia State battled back and closed the gap to just two points with 55 seconds left.
