ATLANTA – Georgia State put together another late rally, scoring five runs in the eighth inning to tie the game and then winning on Kyle Riesselmann's walk-off home run in the 10th, giving the Panthers a 17-15 victory over Troy and a series win Sunday at the GSU Baseball Complex.
After taking a 9-5 lead on Josh Smith's grand slam in the fifth inning, the Panthers trailed 15-10 in the eighth, but one week after scoring nine runs in the ninth inning to defeat Appalachian State, Georgia State (10-27, 6-6 Sun Belt) fought back again, tying the game on Kalen Puckett's two-run, pinch hit double.
