Pair of Late Goals Lift Howard Past Georgia State 2-1

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Georgia State men’s soccer suffered its second defeat in conference play as Howard used two goals within the final five minutes of the match to edge past the Panthers 2-1 Saturday afternoon at Greene Stadium.

The loss dropped GSU to 7-3-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Howard improved to 4-8-1 on the season and 1-1 in the Sun Belt.

Georgia State got on the board first when a foul in the box led to a successful penalty kick from George Proctor in the 26th minute. The goal was Proctor’s third of the season.
