ATLANTA - Skylar Mosel and Jess Neadow each hit home runs in Georgia State's 14-8 loss to South Alabama in Game 1 of the three-game series.
Mosel's second long ball of the season came in the bottom of the sixth and Neadow's third came with a runner on first and nobody out in the seventh.
GSU's two homers were not enough, however, as South Alabama posted 14 runs on 16 hits and four GSU errors.
The Panthers took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but the Jaguars exploded for five runs, all unearned, in the top of the second.
