ATLANTA -- Keyed by homers from Will Mize and Matt Ruiz, Georgia State scored 11 runs in the sixth and seventh innings to down Kennesaw State 14-8 Tuesday at the GSU Baseball Complex. The Panthers have won eight of their last nine games.
Georgia State (9-4) trailed 5-3 in the sixth inning when Cameron Jones delivered a 2-out, 2-run single to bring the Panthers within one. Max Ryerson singled to put runners at first and second, and then Ruiz hit a fly ball to right field that was dropped, allowing both runners to score to give GSU a 6-5 lead.
