NORFORK, VA. -- Colin Hynek drove in the tying run in the ninth inning and then Will Mize delivered the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th as Georgia State rallied for a 5-4 win at Old Dominion Thursday at Bud Metheny Ballpark.
With the win, Georgia State clinched a berth in the Sun Belt Conference Championship, which opens next Tuesday in Montgomery, Ala.
The Panthers (28-26, 15-13 Sun Belt) entered the ninth inning down 4-2. Luke Boynton singled off the pitcher to lead off the inning and Matt Ruiz singled through the left side to put runners at first and second.
