The latest episode of Mic'd Up Presented by Checkers features running back Marcus Carroll, named Georgia State's Most Outstanding Offensive Player of spring practice for the second straight year.
The rising senior from Union City, Ga., and Hapeville Charter High School takes over as the Panthers' primary ball-carrier. Last fall, as part of a three-man backfield with seniors Tucker Gregg and Jamyest Williams, he was third on the team and 14th in the Sun Belt in rushing with 622 yards while scoring six touchdowns.
In his first career start at Southern Miss, he had one of the best games in program history, rushing for 163 yards (fourth-best single-game) and tying the school record with three rushing touchdowns in the Panthers' dominating win.
