MOBILE, AL -- Deasia Merrill posted a double-double to lead Georgia State women's basketball to a 73-47 victory over South Alabama on Saturday afternoon.
"We challenged Deasia to be active on defensive rebounding, and she did that today," head coach Gene hill said. "Really proud of her effort today."
The 26-point win over the Jags marks the Panthers' largest margin of victory in Sun Belt game since 2016-17 (42 vs ULM).
The Panthers (10-7, 4-3) had two players score in double figures, led by Merrill, who recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
