ATLANTA -- Elian Merejo hit two home runs and drove in seven as Georgia State rallied from a 10-5 deficit to defeat Coastal Carolina 15-11 Sunday at the GSU Baseball Complex.
After Coastal Carolina (26-17-1, 11-9) scored in each of the first five innings to take a 10-5 lead, GSU (13-32, 4-17) outscored the Chanticleers 10-1 over the final four innings. Trey Horton allowed just one run over the final four innings to earn the victory for the Panthers, the first collegiate win for the sophomore right-hander.
Merejo, who leads the team with six homers, belted a pair of two-run shots and contributed an RBI-single.
