ATLANTA – Georgia State ran its winning streak to four-straight matches to open the season and topped in-state rival Georgia Southern 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at the GSU Soccer Complex.
Georgia State (4-0, 1-0 Sun Belt) topped Georgia Southern (1-3, 0-1 Sun Belt) for a second-straight meeting while getting off to the school's best start since 2003.
Matthew Fearnley got the Panthers on the board in the 15th minute with his third goal of the season. Senior Aris Briggs provided the assist which was also his third of the year.
