Meet the New Panthers: Makkah "MJ" Jordan

With the start of the 2021 football season fast approaching, it's time to get to know Georgia State's class of newcomers that will join a GSU program that returns 22 starters from last year's bowl-winning squad.

Today's featured freshman is safety Makkah "MJ" Jordan from St. Petersburg, Fla.

Jordan, who will play safety at Georgia State, is a versatile athlete who lineup up at defensive back, receiver and return specialist at Calvary Christian School. In 2020, he collected 65 tackles with four interceptions and seven pass breakups in eight games, along with 389 yards rushing and 142 yards receiving on just seven catches.
